GrubHub is about to make life in the Big Apple a little sweeter with its Digital Food Fest, September 21 through October 14.
GrubHub already connects thousands of NY diners with their online and mobile ordering apps for restaurant delivery and pickup. And now, for a limited time, several of NY’s beloved and cult favorites who do not offer delivery will have their signature dishes delivered to hungry New Yorkers exclusively through GrubHub.
These special items will only be available at specially designated times, with limited delivery boundaries and quantities, so you make sure your diners know that they have to stay tuned and act fast. To get an updated list of the restaurants and dishes being featured each week, diners can go to GrubHub’s Facebook page or follow them on Twitter @grubhub.
New Yorkers will be rushing to the GrubHub website and iPhone/Android apps to gain access to exclusive specials from the likes of Smash Burger, Peanut Butter & Co, A Salt and Battery, H&H Bagels, Katz Deli and Miss Lily’s just to name a few. Some of the special menu items include Peanut Butter & Co’s Elvis sandwich---a grilled peanut butter sandwich, stuffed with bananas and honey—and Katz Deli’s classic pastrami sandwich.
Digital Food Fest will kick off with a special event on Wed. Sept. 21, from 12 noon to 10 p.m. Van Leeuwen’s new brick and mortar shop on 48 ½ East 7th Street and their “meatpacking” Ice Cream Truck, stationed at Washington + Little West 12th, will offer one cent scoops of any flavor to the first 2,000 people to place their ice cream order on GrubHub. Diners will just need to flash their phones or present a printed copy of their online order receipt to redeem the offer.
Van Leeuwen will also debut the “GrubHub” — a uniquely new flavor of roasted banana ice cream with chopped peanuts which will only be available for the celebration.
