Thousands of people will grasp hands in Lower Manhattan in New York City on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 8:46am, as part of ’Hand in Hand - Remembering 9/11,’ a public, community event presented by Chairperson Julie Menin and Manhattan Community Board 1 and numerous supporters. The event, along Lower Manhattan’s west side waterfront, and just one day shy of the 10th Anniversary of the September 11th attacks, is intended to bring people together to stand in unity in remembrance of the attacks of September 11, 2001. Participation in the event is free, but you must pre-register through the website.
