On Friday, September 30th, Brooklyn Fashion Weekend (BKFW) will partner with the MTV Staying Alive Foundation (SAF) to celebrate an evening of fashion, music, culture and community. Continuing its work in supporting aspiring designers around the globe, BKFW will present “Coming to America”, a fashion show featuring the Spring/Summer 2012 collections of visiting African born designers, including Washington Roberts (Nigeria) and Raif Atelier (Togo). The evening will conclude with the Live 4 Fashion Benefit, an after party and silent auction of art and fashion pieces — the proceeds of which will support SAF’s HIV/AIDS awareness campaign in Africa.
