New York Premiere: Crossing the Line 2011: Xavier Le Roy’s More Mouvements für Lachenmann

This elegantly re-imagined musical performance explores and deconstructs the traditional music concert format. Working with composer Helmut Lachenmann and eight musicians, French choreographer Xavier Le Roy fractures and uncouples sounds and movements, events and silences, actions and stillness. A gradual transition in how we perceive the music unfolds, intensifying and enhancing the concert experience itself. This event is part of Fiction & Non-Fiction, one of Crossing the Line 2011's three curatorial program perspectives.
