Obsidian

Obsidian: A Celebration of Models of Color, pays homage to the top models of color, past and present. This will be the premiere multi-cultural event for NY Fashion Week, with VIP guests attending from the fashion, entertainment and sporting industries. The event is named after Obsidian, a naturally occurring volcanic glass which has a cutting edge many times sharper than high-quality steel. Obsidian is also used for ornamental purposes and as a precious gemstone. It possesses the property of presenting a different appearance according to the manner in which it is cut: when cut in one direction it is jet black; in another it is almost purple; and yet another it is glistening gray.
