As part of its Characters Unite Month to shine a special spotlight on the importance of combating hate and discrimination, USA is hosting an interactive pop-up experience providing New Yorkers and passersby the opportunity to spread the message that each of us, whoever we are, wherever we’re from can do something to fight intolerance.
The activation will take place in a highly stylized heated pop-up structure in Union Square, in which people will be able to create their own custom ’I Won’t Stand For…’ t-shirts. Participants will be able to select a stamp representing an issue about which they are passionate -- choices include discrimination, prejudice, religious intolerance, racism, homophobia, ableism, among others. After creating their personalized t-shirts, using a special photo kiosk, participants can take a photo to immediately upload to their social media sites.
What?: Highly stylized, and headed, pop-up structure where people will be able to create their own ’I Won’t Stand For…’ t-shirts, and videos to share with their social media.
Where?: Union Square - Southwest corner at 14th and University Place.
When?: Wednesday, February 8th.
Who?: EVERYBODY! And by everybody, I mean New Yorkers, plus, some top-tier USA Network Talent including Tim DeKay, Tiffany Theissan and Sharif Atkins
