Now that spring has sprung weekends in Williamsburg, Brooklyn will become a popular destination for both tourists and NYC locals. Take a break from your typical Manhattan outtings, and check out the locals that flock to visit the nationally recognized flea markets, parouse through thrift stores, and to eat the best brunches that Williamsburg has to offer. So whether you’re always a subway ride away, or you’re vacationing in NYC this spring, we’ve compiled a weekend guide so you can get the most out of a daytime trip to the Billyburg.

They're probably not as wild as Aaron Carter's parties, but the Brooklyn rave scene is pretty much a close second. With the music, people, and decor, raves are the only places you can have an acid trip without actually being on acid, unless you wanted to of course. According to completely accurate statistical analysis, the borough of Manhattan beats all when it comes to HPC (hipsters per capita). Like, whatever. More»

Last night Abbey Lee Kershaw joined her bandmates on stage to perform for a small crowd at the Glasslands Gallery in Brooklyn. Her rock band, Our Mountain, delivered an electrifying performance, with Kershaw on back up vocals, occasional keys, and banging a large metal chain against a garbage lid. So much so that hotels are popping up in Williamsburg to accommodate Brooklyn's own tourism. For those of you traveling to the big BK, or for those of you who just want to venture out of your Manhattan bubble, there are some really amazing places to hit up when you are in the most populated borough (yes, about 1 million more people live there than Manhattan). In case you’re questioning her cred, Sara Gates has been living and working in Greenpoint for five years in one of those lofts that are now nearly impossible to come by. The bag designer (who created a leather-handled tote for Of a Kind this week) clues us in on some of her favorite spots... More»

Nathan Gryszowka's line is very much rooted in his 'hood': He uncovered the 1940s wallet that inspired the awesome folded-leather style he created at a vintage shop in Williamsburg, and sold his first pieces at In God We Trust right around the corner from his apartment in Greenpoint. These are his favorite Brooklyn spots. More»

Coney Island has been evolving for over 130 years, and has been on death watch for the past few summers. While still home of the Mermaid Parade, Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest, and amusement rides this year's Siren Music Festival was renamed and moved to South Street Seaport. And that isn't the only thing changing. More»
