James Stroud: OPEN CITY Exhibition Opening at Galerie MourlotOn Thursday, James Stroud presented his new exhibition OPEN CITY at the Galerie Mourlot. Guests enjoyed cocktails while viewing Stroud's architectural paintings.

Last night, Brooklyn native Jill DiDonato hosted a book release party for her new novel "Beautiful Garbage." Guests made their way to The Leadbelly for a meet and greet with the author. The night featured an Alacran Tequila open bar and a burlesque performance by Fifa La Flea Canapes. More»

Last Wednesday, poet and artist Scott Zieher presented his newest work, "Concrete Poet," at the Charles Bank Gallery. Guests walked around and took in Zieher's collages, which consist of pieces of paper he found throughout New York. Notable attendees included Garrett Pruter, who currently has his "Interiors" show on display at Charles Bank, and Ryan Russo, who presented an exhibit during Armory Week. More»

On Monday, ddc unveiled their newly renovated showroom for NYC Design Week. Since its inception in 2010, ddc DESIGNPOST has been home to a rotating lineup of top European designers, focusing on the brand identity of each through allocated showroom space. Insomniac returned to the Big Apple this weekend for the 2nd annual Electric Daisy Carnival in New York. Held at Citi Field for the first time, approximately 90,000 fans gathered on Friday and Saturday, to enjoy DJ performances, theatrical acts, art installations, carnival rides, and firework displays. With five stages and state-of-the-art sound and lighting production, DJs including Calvin Harris, Afrojack, Porter Robinson, Eric Prydz, La Roux, and ATB took over the Citi Field parking lot. Last night, Swoon held their 3rd SwoonUpNYC hang out at Brother Jimmy's in Union Square. Guests had the  chance to meet and hang out with Swoon Men, who are swoon-worthy NYC bachelors looking to meet the women of their dreams. Audi and Volkswagen announced the grand opening of two new flagship dealerships in New York City. The $135 million financing is Audi and Volkswagen’s largest investment in a dealership real estate project, and is part of the company’s continued growth strategy and operations expansion in the United States. On Friday, the brands kicked off the dealership opening with a joint celebration. The event featured a special a performance by The Roots and was attended by television stars Padma Lakshmi and Louise Roe, who were joined by Audi of America President Scott Keogh and hundreds of guests. On Friday night, Reign Entertainment Co. held the launch of 3D Art by S. Whittaker and her exhibit, "Time Signature." S. Whittaker's works are oil & acrylic based portraits on wooden canvases featuring infamous entertainers from the past, present and future, ranging from Run DMC to Amy Winehouse, and Beastie Boys to Marvin Gaye. Born in Panama, Whittaker now calls Brooklyn home and the inspiration for her innovative and vibrant works. She brings her intensity and soul to every brushstroke, and is loved by celebrities and avid art-buyers alike. This opening served as S. Whittaker's official launch of 3D Art, and was held at Top of The Garden, where guests were treated to complimentary wine & cheese, while perusing the art with the unbelievable backdrop of literally, the top of Madison Square Garden.
