On Sunday, "The Smurfs 2" stars stepped out with their family in NYC and L.A. for the Global Smurfs premiere day. In NYC, Papa Smurf, Smurfette and Clumsy Smurf made an appearance on the blue carpet at the Lighthouse International Theater. Following the screening, guests made their way over to Dylan's Candy Bar for bite sized hors d'oeuvres and candy. Autism Speaks, with the help of Event Co-Chairs Jesse Morris, Danny Ryan, Phil Quartuccio and a committee made up of Young Professionals with diverse backgrounds, initiated an event series -- Autism Speaks to Young Professionals (AS2YP) -- in an effort to reach out to a generation of people who may not be as familiar with the disorder, which affects one in 88 individuals in the US. Braving almost 100-degree heat on Thursday, AS2YP welcomed supporters, including AS2YP alum Amanda Neiderauer and the newest model turned advocate Jacquelyn Jablonski. More»
Last night, handbag and accessories brand Rabeanco presented an event at their week-long pop-up shop at BaubleBar. The event was hosted by I Spy DIY founder Jenni Radosevich, who helped shoppers create DIY accessories. Last night, the Metropolitan Museum of Art hosted their Young Members Party, which included pre-party drinks on the balcony and a look at the Costume Institute’s spring exhibition, PUNK: Chaos to Couture. Guests started to fill up the main lobby a little past 8pm and the party continued with a DJ set by DFA/LCD Soundsystem's Pat Mahoney. The Young Professionals Komen Greater NYC Race for the Cure kicked off their celebrations at the gorgeous Rink Bar in Rockefeller Center on Wednesday. Guests enjoyed cocktails and delicious hors d’oeuvres. The Young Professionals Committee has dedicated time and effort to discovering innovative ways to raise funds and promote awareness about Susan G. Komen and the fight against breast cancer. The Race for the Cure will be held on September 9th, and New Yorkers are encouraged to join the YPC and run the race this year. More»

Last Thursday, The Iranian American Jewish Federation held its Young Leadership Gala at the New York Public Library. The IAJF of New York Young Professionals is a not for profit organization that gives support for Jewish causes in the United States and Israel. The annual Prize4Life Gala at Sotheby's brought together guests who were united over their commitment to make a difference in the lives of ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease) patients. The event began with cocktails and was followed by dinner at 7:30pm. The evening also celebrated achievements in the fight against ALS and honor Biogen Idec with the Prize4Life Pioneer Award and George and Cynthia Mazareas with the Prize4Life Courage Award. Frames Bowling Lounge hosted a fabulous benefit for Children’s Miracle Network Hospital on Tuesday. Acacia Courtney, Miss New York City, pampered three chronically ill patients like princesses for the evening. Pop sensation Frankie Zulferino was on hand to serenade the girls on the bowling lanes. Sud de France hosted a pop-up brunch at Donna on Sunday, as part of their five feast series. Max Sussman, the former chef of Roberta's in Brooklyn (and cookbook author) came out to the cocktail club to prepare a one-time brunch for guests.
