Guests gathered at the Dream Downtown last night for Purity Vodka's taste challenge against Grey Goose Vodka. As a new advertising campaign, Purity Vodka challenged their competitor, Grey Goose, to a taste-off, to find out if some drinkers prefer Purity Vodka over Grey Goose. Guests enjoyed sipping on delicious vodka and indulging on some h'orderves with stars like Jessica White and Katrina Bowden. Sud De France hosted a tasting table at The Smile on Sunday night. The second installment of the five-feast Sud de France Tasting Tables was a personal take on Languedoc-Roussillon specialties by Chef Melia Marden. The four-course menu featured dishes such as baked stuffed zucchini blossoms, orange saffron seafood stew with roasted sweet pepper crostini, and an Apricot-Lavender tart. The meal was paired with Languedoc-Roussilon wines, and music included a two-piece jazz band playing down-tempo gypsy jazz and early swing music. More»

The Juilliard School hosted its spring 2013 benefit on Tuesday. The prohibition era-inspired event featured exciting performances from Juilliard students, live music from the 1920s, a high-end raffle, gourmet hors d'oeuvres by Radish, and “speakeasy” specialty cocktails provided by Belvedere Vodka. All proceeds from the Benefit have gone towards the Juilliard Scholarship Fund. More»

On Thursday, James Stroud presented his new exhibition OPEN CITY at the Galerie Mourlot. Guests enjoyed cocktails while viewing Stroud's architectural paintings.

Last night, Brooklyn native Jill DiDonato hosted a book release party for her new novel "Beautiful Garbage." Guests made their way to The Leadbelly for a meet and greet with the author. The night featured an Alacran Tequila open bar and a burlesque performance by Fifa La Flea Canapes. Last Wednesday, poet and artist Scott Zieher presented his newest work, "Concrete Poet," at the Charles Bank Gallery. Guests walked around and took in Zieher's collages, which consist of pieces of paper he found throughout New York. Notable attendees included Garrett Pruter, who currently has his "Interiors" show on display at Charles Bank, and Ryan Russo, who presented an exhibit during Armory Week. More»
