It goes without saying that Fashion Week is a showcase for the latest trends. It is the time when designers, buyers and fashion enthusiasts gather to decide what comes next for the industry. But the truth is that Fashion Week is as much about what people wear TO the shows, as it is about what they wear IN the shows. To find out more about what inspires the fashionable folk, I talked to Leandra Medine of Man Repeller, Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs of Cushnie et Ochs and other natty guests about where they shop and what they love.
Here at GofG we are taking a short hiatus to recover from all the Fashion Week mayhem. But in case you missed it, check out some of the best posts from Fashion Week!

After dozens of runways hows and umpteen presentations, Fashion Week has finally come to a close. For many in the industry, it can be exhausting to keep up the pace for all 7 (8, 9...) days of Fashion "Week." But what keeps us all going, is the excitement of seeing something new come down the runway - something new to covet, lust after and dream about until next fall. As the week wound down, I caught up with show-goers to reflect on the trends they've spotted - and what we can expect once the collections hit the shelves 6 months from now.
Before an afternoon at the tents, we started the morning at Pier 59 where Norma Kamali showed us that sometimes fashion can be flat... Show-goers mingled around larger-than-life cutouts of Kamali clad models, while a video of the girls dancing played on two walls. The fashion off-screen was just as exciting, and the well-dressed guests paused to dish on what they're craving for next season, as well as their favorite freebies of the week!

New York Fashion Week is sadly coming to an end- but we're not only looking to the runways for sartorial inspiration. We've searched high and low from Milk Studios, to Lincoln Center, and all the after-parties in between and snapped the most stylish dressers to serve as your next fashion muse. Here are our five favorite looks just begging to be recreated. More»
Valentine's Day at Lincoln Center was full of lovable style. Pops of red showed up everywhere - from dresses and shirts to scarves, bags and lips. In honor of this jour d'amour, I asked show goers what they planned to do to celebrate. From helicopter rides to spending it with mom, New Yorkers sure know how to spend a holiday. Check out what the tastemakers from Bergdorf Goodman are wearing, and the week's littlest and cutest fashionista!

With some of fashion's most ladylike and elegant designers Carolina Herrera and Rachel Roy both showing this morning, it's no wonder that the crowd looking good. The boys were as dapper as the ladies were lovely - see what they're wearing, and what drives them crazy during fashion week.

If you can't actually be at the shows, there's no better way to catch up with the happenings on and off the runway than with Instagram. Enjoy the hustle and bustle of New York Fashion Week from your own couch, while we brave all of the elements live from the front row.

On a frigid Sunday afternoon, Buddakan was a warm and welcome hideout for Tara Subkoff fans. The Imitation of Christ presentation was staged on the lower level of the mega restaurant, and included a lengthy (and some said distracting) magic show amongst the models. But while the setting was dramatic, the crowd was cheerful and relaxed. We caught up with the editor of Gotham magazine, Julie Bensman about her booze habit, and photographer, Micaela McLucas admits that fashion week is when she digs out her wackiest wardrobe. We also snapped lingerie designer for the show, Anais Bouchard and of course - Tara Subkoff herself.

It may have been snowing outside, but you'd never guess it from the fashion inside the tents at Lincoln Center. Maxi skirts prove to be a continuing trend, whether pleated, printed or sheer. Ladies and gentlemen alike sure love their hats, and retail buyers from around the country pick Bergdorf as their "must stop shop" when they visit NYC. As we approach the halfway point of Fashion Week, I asked show-goers whether they found Fashion Week to be more exciting or more exhausting... More»
What better way to break in the day than with breakfast, a French muse, and gorgeous clothing? Nonoo knows how to wake up the fashionistas. We caught up with Olivia Palermo who warns against the dangers of the after party, Zanna Roberts Rassi can't wait to jam out with True Religion this weekend, and Misha Nonoo herself finally relaxes. Then it was up to Lincoln Center where we spotted some more well dressed folks from New York, LA and even Peru!
