New York based fashion house Costello Tagliapietra strayed from their usual custom-order collection when they launched their new diffusion line at Barneys earlier this week.

Last weekend, the Metropolitan Museum of Art opened "Impossible Conversations," an exhibition of iconic ensembles by Elsa Schiaparelli and Miuccia Prada.
Over one hundred designs and accessories by Schiaparelli and Prada are on display, highlighting striking similarities between the legendary designers.
Inspired by Miguel Covarrubias's "Impossible Interviews" for Vanity Fair in the 1930s, the collection is arranged in seven themed galleries or "conversations": "Waist Up/Waist Down," "Ugly Chic," "Hard Chic," "Naïf Chic," "The Classical Body," "The Exotic Body," and "The Surreal Body." More»

The Met Costume Institute Gala brings out the biggest and best names in fashion each year, and people all over the world are waiting to see the who will sport the best and worst looks tonight. For the first time ever, the red carpet arrivals will be streamed live on Vogue.com, so we don't even have to wait till tomorrow morning to weigh in on what our favorite stars are wearing. Earlier last year, the Huffington Post published on their website that The New School has the best dressed students. Since then, not very much has changed. While taking a stroll through the West Village campus, we ran into some innovative students and teachers who broke down their ensembles to us -- in summary, it's all about vintage and thrift stores for these liberal-arts fashionistas.
