The Garabedian family from Pelham Parkway North has been building up their Christmas Display for the past 30 years. Their home is decorated with hundreds of animated figurines and likenesses of "secular saints" such as Nicole Kidman, Audrey Hepburn, and Elizabeth Taylor. In the Bronx, their house is known as "The Christmas House", and the story behind it is as mystery-laden and and fascinating as any rival Christmas story. More»

There's no denying that Greenhouse is currently the "of the moment" club.  It's been packed solid since it opened, even after facing several issues from the inside.  Jamie paid the eco-friendly club a visit on Christmas Eve and checked out all of the festive go-greeners.  Browse through her gallery for more photos from the evening.

Merry Christmas! From all of us at Guest of a Guest!

We will be back on Monday with all of our New Year's coverage.  If you are looking for something to do in the meantime, browse around,  TAG YOURSELF and YOUR FRIENDS in our photo gallery, TIP STANLEY, and have yourself a Merry Little Christmas!

A military operation hasn't been this fun since Operation Dumbo Drop back in 1995.  Started in 1947, Toys for Tots has been an ongoing success for many decades, dropping toys for needy little tots when Santa is too strung out to make their Christmas wishes come true.  Marines were out in battle fatigues in Times Square today near the Armed Forces recruiting kiosk loading up their massive supply truck with lots of fun toys for needy kids in the area.  A lot of little tots are going to have a special Christmas morning thanks to all those who contributed and the Marines who in addition to serving our country abroad make the country a better place at home. d

Remember the good old days when the biggest thing in the world was getting a Hess truck for Christmas?  According to wikipedia, in 1964 Hess gas stations started selling toy trucks around Christmas time, changing the model each year.  These trucks have become quite the collectors items with 1964 rigs fetching anywhere between $1,400 and $2,000 dollars. "The Red and Gold Masked Ball" that Marc Jacobs threw with Robert Duffy on December 14, 2004. What a difference four years can make!

[Marc Jacobs Christmas Party Canceled!]

Remember the old Coca-Cola Santa ads?  Talk about being good.

Cabela's Bridger Mountain Man Coyote Fur Hat.  Brrrrrrr.  This "fur hat" from Cabela's is an actual item in Cabela's, a store that is the equivalent of Bergdorf's in my hometown.  Read this very useful user review:

By AlextheEngineer “I have purchased a number of fur hats in my day but this is by far the warmest and most comfortable. Not only does it keep the back of my head warm but you can wrap the legs around your face to block the wind. The only reason this hat did not receive 5 stars is due to the fact that I was attacked by a bird thinking it was wounded prey while I was out for a walk. A rare but unfortunate occurrence when wearing an animal pelt on your head. Also great in the rain. Didn’t smell at all after it was wet and it makes a great present. I’m getting one for my wife.”

Here is Marc Jacobs dressed as a Heinz Ketchup jar at one of his infamous holiday parties.  The designer was forced to cancel his party this year to the disappointment of many.  It's fun to look back on better times, can you guess the year of this one?
