Celebrate Macaron Day In NYC With Free Macarons

by Georgia Bobley · March 20, 2012

Happy Macaron Day! Macaron lovers in New York and Paris are celebrating their favorite dessert today, when bakeries in both cities will be giving out free macarons in honor of the occasion. Here are some of the best places to pick up a free macaron today...just don't forget to mention that you're there for Macaron Day! You can view a complete list of participants HERE.

The tradition of Macaron day has been long standing. Today is Paris' 7th Annual Macaron Day (or as the French call it, le Jour du Macaron) and New York's 3rd, and each year more and more bakeries join Macaron Day and share their delicious cookies with hungry New Yorkers. There are over 20 bakeries and patisseries participating in NY this year, though some of our favorites are missing from the list (we're talking to you, Ladurée).
