Ah, the Oprah store. It was bound to happen eventually. The store pays homage to “comfort and self expression,” while overtly, as well as subliminally, propagating the Oprah brand. Good for Oprah, I guess. Perhaps I would feel more congratulatory if her brand weren’t so touchy-feely – and so closely associated with the female gender. I suppose women (and men, to a less socially-acceptable degree) do have a sensitive side to capitalize on; I would feel more comfortable, however, if Oprah hadn’t decided to distill it, collect it, and then offer it for sale in a shit storm of plush and pastel.
