We Hope Lindsay Lohan's New Lady Loves Her For Her

by SUSANNAH LONG · May 19, 2010

The Post is reporting that Lindsay Lohan has a new sapphic squeeze, 36-year-old celebrity photographer Indrani. We call shenanigans, and here's why:

    -

The two ladies have been secretly dating since last fall, according to Indrani (also known as Julia I. Pal-Chaudhuri) and her photography partner (and ex) Marcus Klinko. Indrani has glowing reviews for the one-time Herbie star:

"We have been spending a lot of time together. I have never had a relationship with a woman before, but Lindsay is just somebody who I find fascinating, gorgeous and extremely smart, as well as super-hot. Lindsay gets a lot of bad press, but she's a really strong, creative woman and is trying really hard to get her life in a good, positive place."

And Klinko rushes to back up his former ladyfriend's story, saying that Indrani is a positive influence on Lindsay. When the two are hanging out, he insists, they "talk about art and the deeper meaning in life." Then Klinko makes sure to emphasize that Indrani's a Princeton grad. A Princeton grad. They never party. Those eating clubs are for studyin' and philosophizin', not for preppy orgies.

Markus and Indrani are apparently also spies as well as photographers.

Look, it's not that we think Lindsay lacks the ability to net a hot cougar and talk about deep crap. We would absolutely be the first to slow-clap if Linz moved on from the merry-go-round of thrown drinks and incomprehensible tweets that her relationship with SamRo became. It's just that we doubt Ms. Pal-Chaudhuri's motives are pure. The evidence:

Double Exposure, Indrani and Klinko's Bravo reality series (about running a bustling photo studio with the person you used to sleep with) apparently premieres on June 15. Klinko's twitter account makes it clear that Lindsay Lohan will show up in the footage. Wow, a publicity push centered around getting it on with a certain troubled starlet might really help the ratings. But no one in reality tv behaves in such a mercenary fashion!

The photog duo may sound like garden-variety fame-whores, but they're legit celbrity photographers, as Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey, Iman, and others can attest.

A little tv-cash would doubtless help Markus and Indrani - As the WSJ reported last year, the pair had major financial issues at that time, and are likely fuzzy on the math front. Although the two have shot many high-profile celebs, and have created record covers for David Bowie and Beyonce, both studios that they run were dragged down into the money morass in 2009. Both Markus Klinko Photography Inc, and Double Exposure Studios LLC filed for Chapter 11 protection against a creditor. Incidentally, that creditor accused Indrani herself of forming Double Exposure to be an "alter-ego of Klinko's studio, effectively shielding it" from attempts to collect on their debt.

Huh. Although given Lohan's own widely reported money ishes, maybe she and Indrani are just trading recession sob stories over a nice glass of Merlot.
