Last night the New York Foundation for the Arts hosted a benefit honoring the work of Anita Durst and Yun-Fei Ji. In attendance was Michael Stipe as well as committee members Timo Weiland, Bettina Prentice, Jane Bloomingdale-Cisneros, Nina Freudenberger and Carol Han.

NYFA's mission is to empower artists at critical stages in their creative lives. Each year NYFA awards close to $1 million in grants to individual artists and small and emerging organizations.
This year's benefit honorees were Anita Durst, the Artistic Director at chashama, and Yun-Fei Ji, a 1999 NYFA Fellow in Printmaking. The event was held at the James Cohan Gallery. Guests of all ages mingled as they perused the prints on auction by Yun-Fei Ji and then had the opportunity to listen to the artist discuss his history and work in the printmaking field.
