Daily Style Phile: Evan Rachel Wood, Hollywood Glamor

Evan Rachel Wood's been busy. In the new HBO series Mildred Pierce, Evan evokes, yet again, a Hollywood glamour that we love. Recently, she sizzled on the cover of Vogue Mexico, and plays a sharp role in The Conspirator.

Runway designers to fashion editorials have made Evan their bad-ass, alluring muse. Here's some style inspiration from various aspects of Evan's career to her personal taste.

Bio

Born: September 7, 1987.

Debut: Her first major screen role was in the low-budget 1998 film Digging To China, and then Practical Magic, where she starred as Kylie Owens, daughter of Sally Owens (Sandra Bullock). Evan's breakout role was in Thirteen, where she starred as drug addled teenager Tracy Louise Freeland. Evan's performance in Thirteen was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Drama, and for a Screen Actor's Guild award for Best Actress.

The Look

Recently, Evan was been featured in the Spring editorial of March Vogue, wearing head-to-toe whites, an unusual garment for her to appear in, but lets face it-- Evan can pretty much rock anything.

When she first started on the scene, she was a fresh faced girl donning a middle part and conservative, dark garments. Shortly after getting together with Marilyn Manson, Evan's hair went black, and her eyes went charcoal. It's a look she has stuck with, though less severe and with more elements of old school Hollywood glamor.

Evan chooses slim, tight fitting garments that accentuate the bust. She is made for a half-Hollywood, half-burlesque look. For Chanel's Spring 2011 collection, she modeled lace gloves, a black feather boa, and a garter and bustier get-up.

Evan's casual self fuses Parisian chic with the classic pin-up style. The almost-Marcel wave gives Evan a dramatic and irresistible look paired with her pale skin and searing green eyes. It appears that most publications like GQ and Vogue want Evan to display their evocative, yet classy lingerie.

Mimic Her Style

To mimic Evan's style, think from the undergarments to the exterior. Try Agent Provocateur , a luxury lingerie line that specializes in constructed corsets and basques, and lacy, silk bottoms with alluring prints. For a classy get up, try sheer thigh highs with a structured tuxedo dress, or a fitted silk blazer with skinny dress pants. If you want to mimic something more casual, wear a leather jacket (not too many embellishments), and a dress or sweater in a jewel tone that brings out your hair color. For redheads, think green, blonds should sport red, and brunettes a royal blue. A bright shade of red lipstick should accent your lips, and don't be shy with the black eyeliner, either. Skip the bronzer and keep the skin on the pale side.

She recently told Esquire "I was always into very androgynous things. Guys, girls ... I'm into androgyny in general." That may be true, but when it comes to fashion, she's all woman.
