"I'm sorry Ms. Jackson.  I am for REAL!"

Andre 3000 may best be known for his work with Hip Hop group Outkast, but this week Andre Benjamin, the man behind the name, is only being talked about for one thing: his fashion line.  He may be a newbie, but his digs have already graced the windows at Barney's, and, if last night's presentation of "Benjamin Bixby" hosted by Charlize Theron and Stuart Townsend, was any indication of the kind of following he has already built up, this guy is for reeeeeaal. Fo'sho!

Tearing pages out of magazines as a kid left Benjamin with a reverence for English style: He fetishizes “timeless” clothes, name-checks old-school brands like Turnbull & Asser, and calls his own style “classic spontaneity” or “rebel gentleman.” [NY Mag]
