Daily Style Phile: Pippa Middleton, Regal Elegance

by Roxana Hernandez · April 29, 2011

After being thrust into the spotlight when her sister Kate Middleton (now, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge) asked her to be chief bridesmaid, Pippa has had almost as much attention as the royal bride herself. But shes way more than just "the little sister." She is an established figure on the social circuit, one of the so called 'turbo-toffs'- expensively educated, impeccably groomed, well connected and is often seen enjoying champagne cocktails at the coolest clubs from Kensington to Cannes.

    Career:

In 2008 Pippa took a job with Table Talk, a company based in London which organizes events and parties. She is also a part of her family business, Party Pieces, where she launched The Party Times, an online kid's party planning magazine.

    The Royal Wedding

As tradition, unless you are the bride, white is a color to steer clear of especially if you are the Chief Bridesmaid but, never the less, Pippa looked amazing. Wearing the same color and designer as the bride, Alexander McQueen, the gown hung gorgeously from her tiny frame without overshadowing her big sister.

    Royally Dressed

Pippa Middleton chose to wear an Alexander McQueen dress that was designed and created by Sarah Burton. The Ivory satin-based crepe dress has a cowl front and has the same button detail and lace trims as Kate's dress. Her dress is similar in style to the red Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2009 dress.

    Off the market?

In 2008, Tatler magazine named her No.1 Society Singleton, beating out James Blunt, Princess Eugenie (daughter of Sarah Ferguson) and Prince Andre. While her sister married  Britain's most eligible bachelor, Pippa's love life has been in the spotlight. She is reportedly dating Alex Loudon, a former cricket player and a long time friend to Prince William.

Although this elegant born and bred Brit was not always part of the royal family she has kept us all inspired with her intriguing fashion sense, love for life and her down to earth attitude.
