[Emily Brill during her online times]
[Emily "The Eldridge" Brill Is Down!]
At first we thought it was a fluke, a simple technical issue like we had patiently sat through so many times before. As the weekend progressed however, the reality started to sink in. Essentially Emily is essentially GONE. Dunzo. OVER. We are all struggling to come up with answers. Did her parents really pull the plug? Is she still in Manhattan? etc. We didn't even get to host a farewell party. Joking aside, we all want you back Emily (including The Eldridge). Even Hamilton Nolan is professing his love for you. We hope you are okay. And now, a plea to our readers:
"Hey New Yorkers":
Please show your support to Emily Brill in our comments section. Tomorrow is election night and we were dying to hear her thoughts on this matter. Maybe if enough of us band together and send out some love across the world wide web, Emily will come back to us. I will even try and convince Scott and Naeem to help host a party for her at the Eldridge should we succeed.

Plovgh, the new online farmers market
Who knew that the farming world had a trend? Well, Mallory Sustick, a Brooklyn bartender, works like a dog to maintain, promote and advance the online farmer's market startup Plovgh that began after noticing a need for more local farm market distribution.

I hear parents pulled the plug and that there was an intervention of sorts. Emily, thanks for making me giggle.

Does anyone with "tech" knowledge know what that string of letters/number etc. means when you visit her page? "{rtf1ansiansicpg1252deff0deflang1033{fonttbl{f0fswissfcharset0 Arial;}} {*generator Msftedit 5.41.21.2508;}viewkind4uc1pardf0fs20par } "

I can't believe that flabby armed misfit abandoned her readers without a word. Sunglasses off, this sucks.

Mary, this text is Rich Text Format formatting text generated by Microsoft Wordpad, which is normally at the beginning of a document if you send it to the console, but which cannot be seen when you open the document with Wordpad or any other "Rich Text" reader. What this probably means is that her "webmaster" has replaced the default.htm or default.asp webpage with a blank file generated by Microsoft Wordpad. The webserver then delivers this file as an HTML page when you visit, and what you see is the text that would normally be hidden in any Wordpad file when opened with Wordpad. Bye, Emily! We'll miss you!

I wish she had been a good-girl and given us readers some notice...it's all just so abrupt. I wish her well, and hope she learned something from this adventure.
