Last night, Tally Beck Contemporary held an open reception at their gallery for photographer Prabir Purkayastha's "Ancient Grace" collection. This collection is a series of 23 photographs taken in Ladakh, India between 1998 and 2008. Purkayastha's work can be considered ethnographic or even topographic documentation because of his detailed and thought provoking images that convey the region's culture and landscape. The series will run from May 2nd to July 8th. The event was sponsored by Tiger Beer.
