Last night, Audemars Piguet celebrated the 40th anniversary of the iconic Royal Oak design, the first luxury sports watch in Haute Horlogerie. The Swiss Manufacturer has curated an exhibit entitled, "Royal Oak 40 Years: From Avant-Garde to Icon," that will be open to the public from March 21-March 24th.
Using designs, photos, sound and film from artists, Sebastien Leon Agneessens, Quayola, and Dan Holdsworth, the exhibit features 100 timepieces. The exhibit will feature rare watches, from the very first model made in 1972 to the most recent pieces.
