Buffalo On The Bowery Contemporary Art Auction

    Prominent Buffalo natives, artists and supporters all came together at The Charles Banks Gallery for the Buffalo on the Bowery Contemporary Art Auction. The gallery auctioned artworks by more than 60 artists with strong ties to Buffalo, NY.

    Attendees enjoyed almonds, cheese and drank white wine and bottles of Blue Moon as they made their way through the gallery. The event was curated by artist and Buffalo native Julian Montague.

    The auction host committee consisted of prominent Buffalo natives from areas of the arts, business, and media industries including world-renowned playwright and novelist A.R. Gurney, Wall Street Journal deputy editor Robert Pollock, and author Jake Halpern.

    All proceeds will go to People United for Sustainable House(PUSH Buffalo) and Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center. Both organizations are devoted to preserving the community and supporting its creativity.
