Wow, Eater's party to celebrate NYC Wine & Food Fest at The Hurricane Club was packed last night, and for good reason: free food, drinks, and a chance to hob nob with some of the food industries most important names. -

Lockhart Steele, Lee Schrager, and Michael Stillman hosted Frank Bruni, chefs from The Breslin, The Spotted Pig, Aldea, Perilla, and Salumeria Rossi, as well as hundreds of drooling New Yorkers for an evening of fine fare, overseen by chef Craig Kotetsu.

The Hurricane, which doesn't open to the public until next week, was packed to the gills (and it's a big venue) with guests clamoring to order from their wild drink menu, where drinks are organized into categories such as "Frozen", "Strong" and "Group".

The party itself served as a perfect amuse bouche for what is sure to be a mouthwatering week. Too bad we have to wait til October 7th for the next course...
