The Frick Young Fellows Ball Was An Interesting Fête

by Guest of A Guest · March 2, 2024

Not much normally happens on Madison Avenue after dark, let alone around midnight, but last night appeared to be an exception as crowds of black tie partygoers spilled throughout the floors of the Breuer Building for a final hurrah.

The last soirée of The Frick Collection's residency in this temporary brutalist holding pen - the years-long renovation of the museum's 1914 mansion is finally set to wrap up soon - this season's Young Fellows Ball was a bang of a bash.

I mean this party had everything - a parade of reality tv faces (Antoni Porowski would be a great "friend of" on The Real Housewives of New York, don't you think?) took place among gallery talks on Rembrandt, Titian, Van Dyck, and Vermeer while cater waiters marched around slinging limbo-style poles over their shoulders hung with trays of burgers and bobbing through the dance floor holding umbrellas dangling with churros...

    Keeping it interesting!

Curious to see what you missed and who wore what?
