[All images by Nick Hunt for PMc] Yesterday, Harry Slatkin visited the Fashion Institute of Technology to share his wisdom. Robin Sackin, the Dean of FIT's Baker School of Business and Technology, has had a long friendship with Harry, and invited him to speak.-

For weeks leading up to Harry's speech, the students of FIT have been receiving e-mail announcements about the event. Therefore, it was no surprise that the Great Hall, where the speech was held, was packed.

Harry Slatkin is one of the fashion industry's predominate entrepreneurs. In 1992, Harry realized his passion for scents. He developed Slatkin & Co, and since has been one of the most successful home fragrance companies. The brand's fragrances are sold in Saks Fifth Avenue, Harrod's, and Neiman Marcus. About five years ago, Limited Brands purchased Slatkin & Co. Harry remains the president, and over sees the product development of Bath & Body Works.

Ralph Lauren, Tory Burch, and Elton John are listed among Slatkin & Co fans. Harry has acted as "scent guru" on The Martha Steward Show, Extra TV, E! News, and  ABC.
