It's Getting Hottt In Cleveland

by CATHY LEVETT · June 16, 2010

The infamous Betty White hosted a premiere and screening Monday night at the Crosby Street Hotel for the new show, "Hot in Cleveland" which she stars in. Her co-stars are Jane Leeves, Wendie Malick and Valerie Bertinelli. Sean Hayes, from "Will & Grace" co-produced the show. The show premieres tonight on TV Land at 10PM/9C.

The show is about three girlfriends who set out for a "girls only" trip to Paris but end up in Cincinnati, Ohio because their plane crashes. After a while, they start to like Cincinnati and decide to stay. They find it hard to deal with the caretaker of the property (Betty White) and all of her sass and spice.

While it is easy to spot Betty in a crowd, many of you may also recognize Valerie from the Jenny Craig commercials with Kristie Alley. I can't help but just think about those Jenny Craig commercials because that is all that comes to mind when I look at Valerie. I mean, it's a pretty big accomplishment to go from "Jenny Craig lady" to starring in a TV show with Betty White.  She dated Steven Spielberg once upon a time and now his friend is directing the show! It all makes perfect sense to me now. I'm not trying to bash Valerie as an actress, I just can't seem to get the Jenny Craig commercials out of my head.

When you look at Betty and many things come to mind... "The Mary Tyler Moore Show", "The Golden Girls" and even "Boston Legal". I guess because she's been around for sound long, it's hard to not know who she is. Well that and the fact that she also won an Emmy.

I'm counting on this show to give me something else to remember Valerie by.
