While a major storm was brewing on Tuesday evening, a few New Yorkers kept warm inside the historic Down Town Association for the 21st Annual "Heart and Soul" Gala. Guest's enjoyed cocktails, dinner, and dancing to a live Jazz band while they supported various NYC outreach programs for meals, after school programs, and senior care.

Amongst those supporting these important causes was guest of honor, Mary Robinson; former president of Ireland and current High Commissioner of Human Rights for the United Nations. During the event, Robinson was presented with The Forrest Church Award, which is awarded annually by the Heart and Soul fund to those who who practice exceptional work in aiding the less fortunate. After the ceremony, both a live and silent auction commenced to raise further money for the 19 neighborhood social outreach programs being supported.
