[All photos by Jonathon Ziegler for PMc] Thursday 11th March saw the Assouline family welcome the notorious Esquire cover artist, George Lois for the launch of his book George Lois: The Esquire Covers @ MOMA at the Ace Hotel.-
George Lois is known for his controversial Esquire covers (his most famous depicted a martyr-like Muhammed Ali pierced with arrows) and to celebrate the end of a year long exhibition at the MOMA, the prints have been published in the book George Lois: The Esquire Covers @ MOMA. The images span the troublesome years between 1962-1972 and touch on sensitive issues such as Vietnam, women's rights and political assassination.
