The Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation held its first ever benefit Wednesday night at MoMA, featuring such perks as a private viewing of Picasso's Guitars exhibit and a special performance by the exquisite Regina Spektor. Meanwhile, The New York Harbor School celebrated its move to Governor's Island (where better for a sea-themed high school?) at its annual fundraiser at the New York Yacht Club. Check out these pics of revelers getting their philanthropy on!

Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation Gala Benefit at MoMA

MoMA was host to the 1st annual benefit event for the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation Wednesday night, treating attendees to the best of food, music and art, all for a good cause! Gala-goers were serenaded by Regina Spektor while nibbling on desserts by Michael Laiskonis of Le Bernardin and taking in a special exhibit of Pablo Picasso's Guitars. Here's hoping they raised some good money!

The New York Harbor School also raised some funds at its annual benefit, celebrating the move from the very non-marine neighborhood of Bushwick to a more apt location on Governor's Island. This specialty high school relates its whole curriculum to the water (abilities to sail and swim are requirements for matriculation), so of course the sea-themed bash was held at the New York Yacht Club. Proceeds from the party go towards funding SCUBA programs and other awesome stuff I wish had been at my high school.
