Yesterday evening, Christie's held a reception and preview of Christie's Interiors, and the US launch of the book "Star Pieces: The Enduring Beauty Of Spectacular Furniture".-

The event was hosted by Margaret Russell, the Editor and Chief of Elle Decor, and Ginette Lospinoso, the Department Head for Christie's interiors. The book (whose introduction was written by David Linley, chairman of Christie's UK) is based on the belief that "every room should have its star piece".  If you're looking for a "star piece" for your New York apartment, Christie's is the natural destination, and guests at last night's event got to peruse the beautiful furnishings to their hearts content.  More photos below...
