Last night, art lovers celebrated the opening of London-based photographer Stuart Franklin's show at Heiberg Cummings Design. The photo series, commissioned by the Voss Foundation, feature women and water in the Dogon region of Mali. -
Fifteen of these photographs will be available for purchase, the proceeds of which will go towards providing African villages with clean water.
Franklin is best known for his iconic image of a protester defying the tanks in Tiananmen Square during the Student uprisings of 1989. "The Dogon" series will be on display until January 31st.
