Project Paz, which provides relief to Juárez, Mexico, a violent epicenter in the country’s drug war, held a benefit last night that brought designers, artists, and those with a humanitarian spirit to Industria Superstudio, Studio 6.-

Artists Teresa Margolles, Paris Kain, and Mauricio Alejo and fashion designers Carolina Herrera, Thakoon Panichgul, Juan Carlos Obando, and Michael Bastian created special works for the silent auction, Project Art.  All funds will go directly to Desarrollo de Base, a program that supports community development in Juarez through workshops in the arts and trades.

Amanda Hearst, Melissa George, Lauren Santo Domingo and Kelly Bensimon all turned up to show support. The event raised $90,000.
