In honor of Valentine's Day, a new jewelry line called ROCKNROLA was launched at the art gallery, Buck House, last night. The environmentally friendly jewelry was on display for all party - goers to see and try on. All of the proceeds from the evening will benefit Oceana, an international organization focused on ocean conservation.

The jewelry designers, Susan Cohn Rockefeller and Carola Mack, wanted to create jewelry as vital as the little black dress,
"...Something chic and always in fashion that makes a simple but powerful statement to 'wake up' and do something about the world we live in."
The crowd included the designers, of course, but also the Law & Order star, Sam Waterston. The guests tried on the necklaces and bracelets, many of which were adorned with pearls and nature inspired charms. One necklace reads "Fly me to the moon," and there were many sea shells and sea creatures dangling from the jewelry.

it is funny to see every rich socialite girl is launching a jewelry line. The thing is you have to sell them to make money, just having a line doesn't make you jeweler.
