Recession? What recession? The stars came out in full force at Christie's last night for the Green Auction: A Bid to Save the Earth. The event, which was also on the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, reportedly raised over two million dollars for the protection of our planet.

Salma Hayek looked chic as always while she strutted the carpet with Francois-Henri Pinault. Meanwhile, Matt Lauer, Andy Cohen, Daphne Guinness and even the Target dog stepped out for the event.

Things that were on the auction block included two tickets to the Vanity Fair Oscar party, your child in a BabyGap ad, an afternoon with Mario Batali and a golf session with Bill Clinton. Guinness won an original David LaChapelle for forty-five thousand.
