As any good New Yorker knows, it's not a party until the reality tv cameras show up. Last Thursday's party at Orsay for the Supper Club was a Marie Antoinette's Boudoir themed affair with the Pièce de résistance a giant cake fit for royalty.

The grand confection was designed by the dessert geniuses on TLC's Cake Boss and camera crews were out in full force to make sure the unveiling went without a hitch. Cheering on cue and confetti everywhere made the baroque cake cutting picture perfect. After that guests got down to business - drinking specialty cocktails and hovering hors d'oeuvres while acting out the roles of characters they had been assigned before arriving. One guest seemed to be a bit of an anachronism - Lady Gaga has never even met Marie Antoinette.
