Everyone's been complaining how "preppish" we've been lately so here another "Brooklyn Weekend" things to do for you, from our female Brooklynite:
Take in an art house flick at BAM (if you haven’t seen Persepolis yet..Go!) followed by a post film discussion/farewell to weekend fancy brew at 4th Ave Pub, the greatest little bar in Brooklyn.
Brunch at Kitchenbar then a hike through Prospect Park (ok, I know it’s a little cold for this, but bundle up and drink lots of coffee!) to Kate Wollman Rink for a little afternoon ice skating. Seriously, this isn’t like Central Park, or Rockefeller Center. It’s basically you, your beau/buds, some really excited throngs of middle school boys and girls, and the bulky shadows of century old trees. No skyscrapers to be seen. It’s like a mini jaunt to the Berkshires…except it isn’t.
