A 300 pound man walks into a bar Dunkin Donuts. He orders 2 sugar jellies, and a cup of coffee. The 300 pound man walks out of the bar Dunkin Donuts with hundreds of extra calories that threaten his health.
So I ask you this question: If a bar can legally cut you off and stop serving you alcohol after you've had too much to drink, why don't we impose a law whereby servers at fastfood establishments can cut people off if they've had too much to eat?
America's scourge is obesity and it threatens the entire nation.

Plovgh, the new online farmers market
Who knew that the farming world had a trend? Well, Mallory Sustick, a Brooklyn bartender, works like a dog to maintain, promote and advance the online farmer's market startup Plovgh that began after noticing a need for more local farm market distribution.

Heh, heh... you seem to be in kind of a grouchy mood this week based on your posts, but I have to admit that I literally laughed out loud at this one. It's not nice to make fun of fat people, but man... that guy needs to take up tennis ASAP.

Means less competition for females. Fat men are ugly, and cannot have much sex, therefore, let them be fat and die.

the thing is, being fat (eating irresponsibly) causes major health issues later in life, such as diabetes, poor recovery from illness and surgery, etc. And unhealthy people end up in the hospital as extra weight (heh) on the health care system and insurance. So, yeah... I don't think it is a bad idea to use federal law to do away with dangerous (in the long run) food additives that are so cheap to use and buy... they end up costing more later. Eat better. Learn how to cook. Go for a walk.

if only we could demonize ignorant people the way everyone wants to witch-hunt fat people and smokers...alas they are hard to spot until they open their mouths...

The big difference is how many times does a man beat hell out of his wife or kids because he ate a couple of doughnuts. Sweets may be bad for your physical health but alcohol is much more harmful to others as seen in drunk driving fatality stats. Hooray for Oregon trying to pass a large tax on beer.

True, it is dangerous on the eaters health. However, whos to say whats fat? The person at the cash register? So, if this scrawny little teenage girl whos a big sack of bones, feels that some girl, 10 pouns over weight, or even NOT over weight(But still larger than the skinny teen girl), she can feel like "Ew! yer bigger than me. nothing for you!" This idea is as rediculous as giving the right to shove a cheeseburger down the throat of any anorexic person walking down the street. On top of that, as one other poster said, booze hurts more than just the drinker. Drunk drivers kill many people each year, and they also tend to hurt other people. I've yet too see this happen because someone supersized their meal.

Oh my god, you "i know whats best for you better that you do" people need to just fucking give it up. If someone wants to smoke or drink or use drugs or be fat or have tons of sex or listen to music you hate. WHO CARES!!!! As long as it does not hurt others, people should have the freedom to do whatever they want to their own bodies, whether you like it or not!
