Enrico Coveri F/W 2010 Runway Show

Enrico Coveri debuted their new collection to a packed house this week. The young designer, Francesco Martini Coveri, seems to have hit his stride in the last few seasons. This show saw vibrant colors mixed with a mix of prints - from pop art to abstract florals. And just like in New York, fur was everywhere; accenting structured mini's and ladylike suits.

Dolce and Gabbana F/W10 Runway Show

Dolce and Gabbana escaped to the Alps this season- showing a collection of apres-ski inspired RTW. The ubiquitous fur was present on footwear this time rather than as stoles or jackets. And that velvet trend I told you about from NYFW? Well Stefano and Domenico sent a perfect rendition of the trend down the runway: a black long sleeved scoop-neck relaxed minidress which every young new yorker is going to be coveting come Fall. Fair-isle prints in black and white were used on everything, from flowy sheer long dresses to heavy knit leggings. The end result was a sophisticated wearable collection for the Dolce and Gabbana woman.

    Haute F/W 10 Runway Show

Haute's new collection showcased a somber look at fall - with a serious Hitchcock influence. Out strutted fur lined capes and jackets paired with grey and black separates. Pops of color were seen in a beautiful swing coat (again trimmed in brown fur). Velvet was also seen in a a-line black shift dress. The look was ladylike yet whimsical.
