Last night, JCrew's Crewcuts celebrated the book "Mimi's Shoes" at their Madison Avenue store in support of the Wildlife Conservation Society.

This children's book about a girl, her grandmother and their shared love of shoes (something with which many of us can identify) is the work of Christine Tasche with illustrations from the prep brand's designer, Somsack. Both were on hand for yesterday's in store toast of one of the shopping stop's many book, toy and games offerings; no doubt sources of good gift ideas for some last minute mothers.
