10,000 Expected To Attend Michael Jackson Party In Brooklyn

Well they didn't go for the renaming the subway idea, but the Borough of Brooklyn has just announced they're going to throw a posthumous birthday party for Michael Jackson this Saturday in Prospect Park. 10,000 die-hard MJ fans are expected to attend. So who is at the helm of this massive event? More story below...

Spike Lee is organizing it, of course. So what exactly will the party entail?

It's going to just be how we do it, Brooklyn style, I'll leave it at that. It's going to be a joyous, festive, celebratory party.

For the record, another event is being held in Prospect Park on Saturday: a ceremony for soliders who fought in the Battle of Brooklyn during the Revolutionary War. Unsurprisingly, the organizers of this second event are not worried that there will be much overlap...
