It must be good to be Andrea Tese. Last night,  the National Arts Club's Fashion Committee honored the 2007 School of Visual Arts graduate with the Young Innovative Award, which recognizes emerging fashion talent in all areas of the industry, while providing exposure in the fashion world. More story and photos...Tese's work has been featured in T: The New York Times' Style Magazine, RG Brazilian Vogue, and Harper's Bazaar Russia, and displayed in galleries in Washington DC and New York. Let's not forget to mention her fashion images of "the international social set" including Tatiana Blatnik, Zani Gugelmann, Byrdie Bell, India Hicks, Valerie Boster, Kristina Rubiner, and others. But Tese wasn't the only guest of honor. This year's Fashion Committee, comprised of influential fashion leaders and members, also acknowledged Oleg Cassini, Carolina Herrera, Geoffery Beene, and Arnold Scaasi with the Medal of Honor for Lifetime Achievement. Heatherette and B&D Handbags received citations for Merit of Design and Dress for Success.  A selection of Tese's photograph's were on put display for guests to peruse during a champagne reception where James Alden, President of the National Arts Club and Chrishaunda Lee, Chair of the Fashion Committee, and the Board of Governors awarded Tese and the other recipients.
