[All photos by ZACH HYMAN for PMc] Last night on the Bowery ARTNET, the online place to "buy, sell and research fine art online" threw a party at the New Museum to celebrate the new exhibit: "The Generational: Younger than Jesus." The exhibit, recently unveiled, is part of the New Museum's new signature "triennial," and features fifty artists from twenty five different countries, all of whom were born after 1976. Guests, both young and young at heart, mingled in the crisp, light filled, modern space and got to check out  the innovative artworks and the skyline of lower Manhattan from the rooftop.

The museum itself is visually appealing, and a great place for a party, providing the perfect backdrop for exploring contemporary "visual culture" this diverse group of artists has created. The exhibit examines the impact of  the "millennial" or "me" generation and its' influence on global culture and contemporary art.  The presentation also stays true to the mission of the new Museum of showing the "art of tomorrow" today and supporting up-and-coming young artists.  It will be open until July 5th, so go get yourself a little shot of contemporary culture, and the youth as we know it.
