Bergdorf's Celebrates The Holidays With A Stylishly Whimsical Short Film Inspired By Wes Anderson

Already stressed about holiday shopping? Why not turn the annual rigmarole into a stylishly cinematic experience à la Bergdorf Goodman?

From its famed holiday window displays to its floors and floors of gifts, gowns, and glamorous baubles, the iconic department store is practically the official luxury outpost of Santa's workshop here in New York City. And if you needed any more proof, just take a couple of minutes to watch the retailer's chic new short film inspired by the shopping season.

Channeling the twee charm of cult-favorite director Wes Anderson, The Present Moment, starring none other than actual Wes Anderson regular Waris Ahluwalia, brings Bergdorf's holiday campaign to life with cheeky cameos by designers including Christopher John Rogers, Emily Bode, Michael Kors, and Marc Jacobs. Of course, Bergdorf's fashion director and Queen Bee, Linda Fargo, also makes an appearance in her festive best.

Although Anderson wasn't technically involved in the production, BG’s VP of Creative and Brand Marketing, Elle Strauss, did a pretty spot-on job of developing and directing the whimsical film with nods to beloved titles such as The Grand Budapest Hotel and The Royal Tenenbaums.
