Last night, the Bowery Ballroom opened it's doors to the US Air Guitar Championships and we were NOT going to miss it. To be honest, we are unsure of who actually won the contest, though this gentleman, fully prepared for last night's misty streets in his yellow rain boots, was a favorite of ours.  If you think the Air Guitar Championship is an event to take lightly, think again. Held in over 25 cities with only one winner taking the grand prize each year, the event is devoted to "taking our nation's unofficial pastime out of the bedroom and putting it up on the world stage." Awesome.

Last night's competition, put on by Boone Farm, found the best air guitarist in NYC who will go on to compete in the national competition in August. The reigning world champ is Hot Lixx Hulahan and Bjorn Turoque, both served as judges last night.
