Books in Motion, a project consisting of a 6-week traveling theatre festival, is bringing books alive for children. The project, a part of the 2009 UNESCO World Capital Book Festival, will perform outdoors across Lebanon and involves several of America, Europe and the Middle East's leading theatre related artists. It's all made possible through a grant from the Theatre Communications Group and with support of the NYC Children's Theatre Company and La Maison du Livre.
Last night a cocktail event was held at a majestic private terrace overlooking Central Park at dusk. Guests included chairs Denise Maroney, Cristina Civetta and Alexandra Schneider. Some of the other present guests included Deborah Lyons, Mehhan Horstmann, Jordan Galland, Jessica Almon, Nick Raines, Varick O'Dea (who DJed!) and more.
