It was a true A-Lister event last night for "Burberry Day" held at The Palace Hotel. Complete with a red carpet, celebrities and style forerunners came out to celebrate the company's new NYC headquarters. The highlight of the night was to be the lighting of the new (and huge) Burberry sign guests could view across from the party, but the real excitement came in the form of the attendees - including Orlando Bloom, Claire Danes, Kate Lanphear, Lily Donaldson, Molly Sims, Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, Alexa Chung, Derek Blasberg, Justin Long, and, well you get the picture... the list goes on. A performance from One Night Only added to the night's excitement (band foreman George Craig is an occasional model for Burberry). Also there to celebrate the British brand were Blake Lively and Penn Badgley - very appropriate considering the venue. We're sure Christopher Bailey, creative director of Burberry, was thrilled with the turn-out. The only thing we're surprised about is with all the gloomy weather in Manhattan yesterday, where were all the signature plaid trench coats last night?
