548 West 22nd Street, formerly home to contemporary arts organization, The Dia Center, was on the verge of being turned into condos before gallerist Elizabeth Dee turned it into X, a year long not-for-profit program complete with exhibitions and performances. The art space officially opened its' doors Saturday night with four floors and a roof deck full of art by Mika Tajima, Christian Holstad, Dan Flavin, and Derek Jarman. Guests to the opening mingled with the artists while exploring the rejuvenated art space.
