Formal Couple: Louis Vuitton & Takashi Murakami

by ANISA HASANI · June 16, 2008

Louis Vuitton and Takashi Murakami Marriages are always highly thought of er, at least when kept within the span of fashion and the institute of art or music. We have seen such unions prove productive with hints of creativity previously through the works of H&M with their Fashion Against AIDS, and the Red Campaign for GAP with one t-shirt saving a life. But get ready: Here comes the bride, I mean couple! The collaboration is not a new concept nor, is it out to save lives, but Louis Vuitton and artist Takashi Murakami have once again driven up our excitement meter!

Due out this last weekend, the primary colorful monogram that has dangled on the arms of anyone-who-is-everyone has been hit by a magic-stick and undergone a tougher transformation with colors that bring to mind a military look-- one with a more earthy feel.

Louis Vuitton and Takashi Murakami Monikered Monogramouflage, the collection composed of such key pieces as jewelry, ready-to-wear, shoes not forgetting luggage will be featured at selected Louis Vuitton stores and will only be sold throughout July 13th. With such names as Speedy 35, Pegase 60 and iPhone Cases we can almost predict which celebs are on the list to get one or three uh, Jessica Simpson! We are not jealous we are just saying, after all that is what Canal or shall I say “Chanal” street is for!
